Civil Construction Trainee Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Civil Construction Trainee.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills and work alongside experienced professionals while completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with civil construction and maintenance works including site preparation, excavation, and material handling.
* Read and interpret plans and job specifications ensuring compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
* Measure, calculate, and organize materials efficiently.
* Operate small plant, hand, and power tools safely and effectively.
* Support traffic management and risk management activities during construction projects.
* Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
* Attend all required training sessions, workshops, and assessments to complete the Certificate III in Civil Construction.
Requirements:
* Completion of Year 10 with a strong interest in civil construction.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Willingness to take instruction, work under supervision, and undertake formal training.
* Sound literacy and numeracy skills to support your Certificate III studies.
* A keen interest and demonstrated ability to work with tools, plant, and equipment.
Please note that traffic management accreditation or the ability to obtain it on commencement of employment is highly desirable.
