At our Melbourne headquarters, we are expanding our team and seeking a qualified Insurance Agent to support customers in understanding insurance products and selecting suitable coverage options.
This role requires strong product knowledge, the ability to interpret policy conditions, and the skill to guide clients through financial and insurance requirements in a clear and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities
Assess Clients' Needs: Conduct structured discussions and fact-finding processes with clients to identify their insurance needs.
Research Products: Research and review available insurance products to identify suitable options for each client.
Explain Policy Terms: Explain policy terms, conditions, coverage limits, risks covered, premium rates, waiting periods, exclusions, and benefits.
Prepare Recommendations: Prepare recommendations based on clients' circumstances and insurance requirements.
Arrange Policies: Arrange insurance policies on behalf of clients in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation outlining policy conditions and relevant product details.
Analyse Client Circumstances: Analyse client circumstances and identify any significant changes in risk profiles requiring policy updates or alternative cover.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Insurance Knowledge: Minimum 1 year experience in insurance, finance, or a related advisory role.
Product Understanding: Strong understanding of insurance products, policy structures, and client needs analysis.
Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex policy details clearly and confidently.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, particularly regarding regulatory and compliance obligations.
