Job Description
The Division of Water is accountable for providing support to communities, farmers and businesses in effectively utilizing water resources. This division contributes to the implementation of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan by recovering water and promoting sustainable water management.
We are seeking multiple positions across various sections within the Basins Policy and Science Branch. Each section plays a pivotal role in coordinating governance, designing and implementing policy, delivering programs, solving complex problems, building strong partnerships and providing valuable advice to stakeholders.
Within the branch, there are five sections: Murray-Darling Basin Policy Section, Murray-Darling Basin Intergovernmental Section, Great Artesian Basin and Lake Eyre Basin Section, National Strategies and Assessments Section, and Science and Policy Coordination Section.
The successful applicants will undertake work that is detailed in nature, working under direction with some autonomy. They will assist in managing projects and providing administrative support.
Key responsibilities include contributing to project management, administration, including investigating issues and developing solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, budgeting, and administration, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
