Fixed Plant Maintenance Fitter
Location: Glensanda-PA34 5QB - PA37 1SE
Salary:£16-£17
A new exciting position as a Fixed Plant Maintenance Fitter has just opened up in Glensanda. This role is working Monday - Friday. Lasting over a minimum of 3 months. To get to the site the transport would be via ferry at 6:30 to site, 16:45 from site, this can be negotiated to an extent. There is accommodation on site as well as meals provided.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out planned maintenance and repairs to the site equipment
2. Carry out planned repairs to equipment to maintain asset capacity and value
3. Contribute to the preparation and development of Safe Systems of Work for repair procedures
4. Respond to unplanned repairs and other requirements
5. Respond to plant breakdowns - ensuring it is returned to production in a timely manner, and temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution.
6. Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free
7. Deal with all daily issues professionally and liaise with site management on a regular basis
8. Support and train operatives to complete minor maintenance tasks
9. To carry out all inspections; complete the forms and where a problem exists notify line management immediately
10. Enter maintenance and work data on the site Computerised Maintenance Management System
11. Be responsible for the plant assets in your area of responsibility and as required in all other work areas.
12. To react promptly and effectively to site breakdowns by liaising with operatives and assisting where needed.
13. To monitor and ensure that all plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs are documented correctly.
14. Complete and adhere to all Safety related documentation for all maintenance activities.
15. To carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of your operation and abilities as and when required.
16. Strong communication with the site team.
17. Support other area teams when required
18. Support the site reliability program for planned change out of equipment and recording of CM data
19. Use maintenance access equipment and lifting equipment
The Ideal Candidate
20. A highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm
21. Ability to work as part of a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation as required.
22. Experienced fitter who is also skilled in welding, cutting and fabricating techniques with tech qualification, NVQ3 or equivalent.
23. Excellent communication and team working skills
24. Ability to plan and implement maintenance schedules and good working knowledge of engineering drawings.
25. Good understanding of health and safety
26. Good organizing skills
27. IT literacy and ability to work to deadlines.
28. Ability to work flexibly.
