Launch Recruitment are working with a leading advisory firm is seeking a talented Manager to join its Technology Risk and Cyber practice. This client-facing role involves leading projects that help organizations identify, assess, and manage a range of technology and information security risks. You'll work across sectors to deliver tailored risk solutions in areas including IT controls, cybersecurity, audit compliance, privacy, data governance, and emerging regulatory frameworks. Location: Melbourne Salary: Up to $150,000 package for manager Up to $180,000 package for senior manager What You'll Be Doing Lead the delivery of multiple risk and compliance engagements covering areas such as SOC 2 readiness and reporting, cyber risk assessments, data governance, GS 007 assurance, open banking compliance, and IT audit. Perform IT risk assessments aligned to frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and PCI-DSS. Develop strong client relationships, manage project scopes and budgets, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes that add tangible value. Mentor, coach, and support the growth of consultants and junior staff members within the team. Take ownership of risk identification and mitigation strategies within projects. Translate technical findings into clear, business-relevant recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Apply a logical, risk-based approach to evaluating IT environments and recommending fit-for-purpose solutions. What We're Looking For This role is ideal for a collaborative and commercially aware professional who is passionate about technology risk and enjoys helping clients solve complex problems. Requirements for the role Proven experience managing or delivering IT risk, cybersecurity, or audit engagements within a professional services, consulting, or regulated industry environment. Strong familiarity with key industry standards such as SOC 2, GS 007, COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST, and related assurance or governance frameworks. Understanding of open banking, privacy regulations, or data governance frameworks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex risk matters to a broad audience. A hands-on approach and the ability to work autonomously, while also mentoring others. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CA or CPA (or actively working toward them) are highly regarded.
