As our new lecturer, your primary focus will be to develop and deliver high-quality teaching in undergraduate Paramedicine courses by integrating contemporary research findings into curriculum development to address the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.
Your expertise in paramedicine, combined with a passion for teaching, will contribute to creating a learning environment that fosters innovation, critical thinking, and practical skills among students, shaping them into professionals ready to meet the challenges of the healthcare sector.
This role is based in Hobart with relocation assistance considered for the right candidate.
What you'll do: Deliver exceptional teaching experiences, utilising innovative methods and technologies to engage students in both online and face-to-face settings.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Paramedicine curriculum, ensuring it remains current, comprehensive, and aligned with academic standards.Actively participate in community engagement initiatives, fostering relationships between the university, the profession and industry partners, and wider community stakeholders.Pursue opportunities for professional growth and contribute to the academic community within the university, enhancing the reputation of the School of Paramedicine.
What we're looking for: Postgraduate qualifications in education and/or advanced clinical practice.Registration as a Paramedic or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Significant clinical and/or education delivery experience in paramedicine.Ability to embrace and implement best practice educational methodologies and create exceptional teaching experiences.The ability to build collaborative partnerships and identify new opportunities across the profession.
Salary details Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,885 pro rata comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $133,235 plus 17% superannuation.
