Job Details
We are seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to cutting-edge projects in gene editing and therapeutic development.
This is a fixed term, full-time position for 12 months with the potential for extension.

About the Role
1. Molecular Biology Techniques - Plasmid preparation, molecular cloning, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, Western blot, and IVT.
2. Cell Culture & Flow Cytometry - Cell culture maintenance, transfection, and FACS analysis.
3. Mouse Handling & Experimental Work - Intraperitoneal and retro-orbital injections, tissue collection, genotyping, and other in vivo procedures.
4. Laboratory Innovation & Training - Learning and optimising new techniques, as well as mentoring students in laboratory skills.
5. Laboratory Management - Maintaining a well-organized lab space, ordering reagents and consumables, and ensuring lab stocks are replenished.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* A degree in a Science-related field (Honours or research experience preferred)
