Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our Family Store's warehouse. This hands-on role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of donations and stock, supporting our retail mission, and helping make a real difference in the community.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing daily warehouse operations and ensuring the store is always stocked and ready for customers.
* Sorting, preparing, and rotating donations for maximum saleability.
* Maintaining a clean, well-organized, and efficient warehouse space.
* Ensuring all donations are processed and distributed to stores promptly.
* Monitoring and managing inventory levels to optimize stock flow.
* Presenting furniture and other items in a way that enhances their appeal.
* Working closely with volunteers and supporting them in their roles.
* Reporting issues to Store manager in a timely manner.
* Contributing to increased sales through effective stock handling and presentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a volunteer team.
* Good communication and people skills and a team player.
* Physical ability to handle manual tasks as required.
* A current Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence.
