The Senior Maintenance Manager is accountable to the Deputy Project Director for development and proactive management of maintenance requirements across the vessel's lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the vessels to Navy.

* You will lead an expert maintenance team to success by setting the vision, building the plan and using your unique leadership skills to foster a strong and safe team culture that delivers truly innovative solutions.
* This exciting and challenging role is responsible for developing and maintaining the Annual and Five-Year Work Programs for all Minor Vessels.
* The role entails operational performance measurement, sustainment planning and optimisation of the maintenance and engineering change implementation programs.
* Right now, the program is experiencing exciting growth across the country, and you will drive assessment, assurance and provision of recommendations and advice on alignment of Minor Vessels Support Systems specific to vessels undertaking both maintenance and operational tasking.

The Role

* Oversee the implementation, maintenance, review, and improvement of the maintenance management system.
* Meet established key performance indicators for technical compliance and contributing to production and program management key performance indicators.
* Management of maintenance personnel, including recruitment and selection, technical and professional development of maintenance personnel, career development advice, and providing input to performance management and development activities.
* Other duties as deemed relevant to program and operational requirements and within the technical competency of the position.
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders; securing Raytheon's reputation as a trusted partner in delivering systems integration and mission support solutions to our customers.

Skills And Experience

* Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent level of experience
* Minimum of eight years prior relevant experience
* Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
* Working knowledge and experience of maintenance management and planning system tools and processes.
* Relevant experience in maintenance planning in a defence or other highly regulated environment.
* An ability to gather, manipulate and analyse data to support databased decision making for internal and external reporting.
* Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.
* Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way, which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships.
* Experience in effectively representing engineering professional services to both internal and external customers.
* Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
* Experience in product configuration control.
* This position may require availability to travel when required.
* Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed.
