About the role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team at Patterson Building Group in Mascot, NSW. As a full-time Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction operations, providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a range of construction projects.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment requirements
* Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify all cost components
* Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information
* Participate in the bidding and tendering process, ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitable
* Continuously research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in material and labour costs
* Provide support and guidance to the project team throughout the construction process
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience (5+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry
* Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation principles
* Proficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applications
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project team
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field
