About the role
The Marketing and Community Engagement Officer will work closely with the Marketing, Communications and Community Engagement Manager to drive vibrant marketing campaigns and memorable community events. In this dynamic role, you'll help bring the College's mission, vision and values to life across every platform—building meaningful connections with families, prospective students, alumni and the wider community while showcasing the spirit and story of our College.
About the contract
The position is Permanent, Full Time (38 hours per week), Term Time – 41 weeks per year
About you
To be considered for this role you will need:
· Valid working rights within Australia.
· Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.
· Possess a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card for paid employees before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.
· Tertiary Qualifications or relevant experience in Marketing, Events or Communications is desirable. (experience in schools or educational setting is desirable).
· Good writing and editing skills and demonstrated experience using design and content programs (eg: In-design, Adobe and Canva).
· Ability to be flexible, embrace and adapt to change and be responsive to the needs of the College.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact positively with a wide range of stakeholders including students, staff, and the wider community.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to develop solutions to problems.
· Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, and the ability to use initiative and work autonomously to meet deadlines.
· Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Information Technology Systems and the Microsoft Suite of applications (eg: Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending evening or early morning events.
