Description The opportunity We are currently seeking a qualified Boilermaker to join our Maintenance team on a full-time permanent basis. Your role will work very closely with the production departments on the facility. Our business aims to reliably and efficiently process pigs and pork products to the highest levels of welfare, quality and customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on Safety, Quality and People. Main duties will include, but are not limited to: Ensure outcomes are achieved with a high standard of workmanship within the prescribed timeframes; Ensure health and safely in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Communication with relevant parties and effective paperwork completion of the end of shift; Ensure completion of work orders with all relevant information needed including any reasons for failing to meet the required work order; Ensure quick responses from the Team for production callouts based on priority of the issues; Ensure that Maintenance Stocks are reported to Maintenance Planner (or Administrator) following use, i.e. supplies, spare parts and equipment; Take responsibly for small projects allocated to you and see them through to completion; High level of familiarity with plant equipment and perform tasks with limited supervision; Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safe work practices and environmental compliance; Ensure all incidents or near misses are reported to the Maintenance Manager and assist with Corrective Actions; Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a safe and working order and any repairs reported immediately; Regularly check test and tags on all items used; Carry out any other reasonable and lawful directions that may be given from time to time by the company; Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety, environment and welfare of our people and animals.
