With a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and customer service, they are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their dynamic and supportive team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing high-volume, end-to-end payroll across multiple entities. Working with systems such as Micropay,
Xero and Tanda, you will ensure accurate and compliant processing aligned across multiple awards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and processing fortnightly payrolls end-to-end across permanent and casual staffMaintaining and updating employee recordsProviding timely and accurate advice on payroll-related queriesPreparing and submitting Payroll Tax, PAYG, Workers Compensation, and other required compliance returnsCompleting payroll reconciliations and month-end processesManaging termination calculations with support from the broader accounts teamMaintaining PPL registers across multiple companiesProviding WorkCover data as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
2+ years' experience processing complex, high-volume payroll in a large organisationExperience using Micropay (highly desirable)Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, superannuation, Payroll Tax and award interpretationExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing prioritiesA proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
