The Project Engineer is responsible for providing management, engineering and administrative coordination for the design, supply, installation and testing of the project. The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the tender or project is completed in a timely manner.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:Log enquiries from client, raise tender number and maintain quote registerEstimate tenders using the spreadsheet providedTakeoff material, sourcing, get quotations from suppliers/subcontractors and ensure pricings are received on timeCompliance to UGL Gate governance, prepare offer letter and submission to client after receiving all internal approvalReview and plan the project with your manager to ensure technical aspects of the job are clear and understand contractual requirements with the clientDevelop procurement requirements, scope works and work with procurement business partners to ensure correct RFQ and evaluations are completed and that all preferred suppliers’ subcontracts or supply agreements and purchase orders are in place and delivery is in line with project schedule.Provide a focal point for all technical, contractual, schedule and cost-based queries for associated subcontractors / suppliers to ensure successful project deliveryCompile and issue project work packs (e.g. ITPs, check sheets, material register, etc.)Work with engineering team and operations to bridge communications and deliver fit for purpose designsOverview the entire project, maintaining an open approach to all problemsQualifications and education requirements:Tertiary Engineering Qualification3 years’ experienceProject Controls knowledge and delivery skills (Contract Administration, Forecasting and Schedule Development and Management)AS9001 Quality Systems knowledgeSchedule experience (MS project or P6)Driver’s LicenseAS4458 and AS3992 knowledge (not mandatory but will be highly regarded)What we offerDiverse opportunities to grow, back yourself and achieveA strong portfolio of work for 2024 -2025 across multiple market sectors and regionsThe chance to join a 6,000+ strong organisation owned by the CIMIC Group, one of the world's leading international contractorsPathways for you to succeed and the space for you to carve your own journeyAbout UsUGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within, rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
