HumeLink West is a pioneering transmission project connecting Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW. This 500kV high voltage electricity transmission project will significantly increase the capacity of Australia's eastern states' electricity network.
The western section of HumeLink involves delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, with Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
Job Description
A Project Engineer - Electrical plays a pivotal role in designing, managing, and overseeing electrical projects to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
This position entails developing electrical designs and project plans ensuring compliance with industry standards, overseeing installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including substations and transmission networks, ensuring all electrical works adhere to safety protocols and relevant regulations.
Additionally, this role involves monitoring project progress, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation to meet client expectations, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to align project delivery with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement electrical design strategies ensuring compliance with industry standards.
2. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including substations and transmission networks.
3. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and relevant regulations across all electrical works.

Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Proven background in Electrical Engineering for Utilities, including transmission and substation projects.
* Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk management in Utilities projects.
* Effective project management and communication abilities to coordinate timelines, budgets, and stakeholders.
