SuniTAFE is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher – Individual Support to join our team at the Swan Hill campus. This is a Part time on-going position which comes with a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality education in Individual Support and Allied Health, empowering students to thrive in their careers and communities.
Under the guidance of the Education Delivery Manager, the successful candidate will deliver and assess qualifications ranging from Certificate III to Diploma level, aligned with their formal qualifications and industry experience. This role is central to supporting student success through structured classes, flexible and online delivery, workplace-based learning, and blended modes.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Deliver training programs for individual students utilising a variety of modes as required; structured classes, flexible delivery, online delivery, workplace and blended delivery.
* Carry out necessary preparation, correction, assessment, validation and report writing associated with teaching duties.
* Assist in the development and implementation of competency-based units in flexible mode.
* Provide credible solutions to individual students to maximise engagement and retention and minimise withdrawals.
* Ensure Institute approved student roles are maintained accurately and legibly to the required standards of the Institute's quality system.
* Maintain a portfolio of current original or certified vocational/teaching/training qualifications and evidence of relevant industrial experience and professional development activities.
* Assist with the development and implementation of a quality improvement plan based on student evaluation and survey results.
* Liaise with students and Student Support Services staff to assist students in areas of identified needs.
* Maintain awareness and comply with the Victorian Government's Child Safe Standards.

Key Selection Criteria:
* Tertiary qualifications in the area of delivery are essential to this position.
* A current Certificate IV 40116 or 40122 in TAE is essential to the position.
* Minimum of three years professional industry experience.
* Ability to work with a diverse learner population is required.
* Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Strong teaching capabilities, including the ability to design and implement a diverse range of instructional and assessment strategies tailored to varied learner needs and aligned with competency standards.
* Advanced organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic educational environment.
The Successful candidate will be required to provide:
* A Working with Children Check
* Criminal Record check is mandatory (less than 6 months old)
