Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life. As a Production Planner at our Prestons site, you will coordinate production planning and scheduling to meet demand for critical equipment.
Responsibilities
* Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on forecasts, inventory allocation, and capacity constraints to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
* Collaborate with Production Manager, Fleet Manager, procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to align production plans with customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability.
* Track production progress and proactively adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.
* Support initiatives to improve planning, scheduling, and inventory management, and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement.
* Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing site environmental health and safety (EHS) policies and procedures, and comply with applicable Work Health Safety (WHS) Act standards.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in production planning or supply chain coordination, preferably in a production environment.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), and strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written), organisational, and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service and outcomes.
