Walcha Council Full-time, Permanent Position Walcha Council is seeking multiple operators and people who have never worked in roads before, to fill multiple positions. About the Role As a Labour / Operator at Walcha Council, you can expect the work to be varied and typically involving working on our highways, local & urban road network and all the tasks that involve. Some of these tasks will include traffic control, verge and drain work, as well as operating our plant. Key Duties & Responsibilities Carry out labouring duties as directed Use hand tools and operate small plant items on Council worksites Hold and use a current Drivers Licence to drive light vehicles Operate Plant and equipment safely, legally, efficiently and competently Read, understand and apply traffic control plans What You'll Bring A current and valid Class C Drivers Licence WHS General Construction Induction Card Demonstrated experience working well with others Willingness to participate in an On-Call Roster if required Experience in Civil Construction preferred, but not essential What we Offer This is a Full-Time Permanent position (38 hours per week) starting at $1,075.30 (gross) superannuation per week based on Band 1 Level 3 Grade 2 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
