About the Role:
This role will also be responsible for working closely with Supply Planners to proactively review safety stock levels and respond to any significant variations in customer demand to mitigate any adverse impact on availability and customer service level.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to generate accurate forecasts and demand assumptions to support the S&OP process
- Partner with Sales, Category and Marketing teams on demand assumptions ensuring these are robust and fact-based
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of SKU portfolio changes and forecasts for NPI/Deletions
- Partner with Supply Planning team to ensure high quality forecasts are available for Replenishment planning
- Analyse historical trends in demand, review Sales plans, budgets and assess risks to demand plan and identify opportunities to mitigate the risk
- Analyse and present latest demand and forecast information in monthly demand review meetings, with clear supporting facts, insights and recommendations to mitigate forecast risks
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years demand planning experience
- Experience using a forecast tool (SAP IBP experience would be ideal but not required)
- Proven ability in developing a forecast and delivering results
- Numerate and systems literate with the ability to manage large amounts of data analysis
- Strong statistical skills (standard deviation, normal distribution, average)
- A customer centric focus when working with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent planning and organising skills, combined with strong attention to detail
- Analytical thinking and information seeking
- Continuous improvement focus and demonstrated ability to improve business processes
