About the role
Join our Professional Development team to help deliver impactful learning experiences for engineers. In this role, you'll support the planning and execution of CPD through conferences, events, and education programs—locally and nationally. You'll work with members, partners, and industry to create high-quality, engaging experiences that align with Engineers Australia's strategic goals. This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity. (One position advertised across Melbourne and Sydney)
Location
This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
In this role you will:
* Lead people and projects with a focus on service delivery and stakeholder engagement
* Manage multiple events and programs across formats and locations, ensuring quality and timelines.
* Build strong relationships and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrate commercial acumen in developing and delivering CPD and events.
* Drive innovation and process improvement while navigating change and competing priorities.
* Mentor and support teams, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Here's what we're looking for:
* Lead and support a high-performing team, ensuring training, development, and collaborative delivery of professional development initiatives.
* Experience in leading conferences and events and deliver event operations.
* Curate and evolve content in partnership with the Program Team, aligning with strategic goals and future-focused member needs.
* Drive innovation in PD products, anticipating trends and enhancing member value and engagement.
* Collaborate widely across Engineers Australia teams and stakeholders to maintain a strong national CPD calendar and integrated delivery.
* Manage operations by implementing best-practice standards, processes, and systems for seamless event execution.
* Oversee commercial and financial aspects, including budgeting, sponsorship, contract negotiations, and risk management.
* Use data and insights to evaluate performance, inform planning, and continuously improve the impact and sustainability of events and programs.
