Job Description
You will be part of our team in Sydney and have the opportunity to work with our lawyers in Melbourne as well as with lawyers across our offices. We are looking for a highly skilled Regulatory Lawyer to join our financial services regulatory team.
Key Responsibilities
* Help clients with their most important regulatory and transformation projects, including advising on superannuation fund mergers and working with our M&A team on transactions in the financial services area.
* Assist clients to respond to regulatory investigations and prosecutions, including APRA and ASIC proceedings, and advise on financial services regulatory obligations, including licensing, disclosure and conduct obligations.
* Prepare and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including outsourcing and distribution arrangements.
Requirements
* Experience advising superannuation and/or other financial services clients on a range of regulatory matters, including private practice experience working in a specialist superannuation and/or financial services regulatory team.
* A desire to specialise in superannuation and financial services regulatory work, excellent academics and legal analysis, writing and communication skills, and a desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor others.
