Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Technical Project Manager with strong hands-on knowledge of Core and Transmission networks to lead and deliver complex telecom programs. The role requires a blend of technical depth, project governance, and stakeholder management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
Project & Delivery Management
Lead end-to-end delivery of Core and Transmission network projects, from initiation to closure
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
Ensure adherence to scope, timelines, quality, and cost objectives
Track progress and provide regular status reports to internal and external stakeholders
Technical Leadership
Provide technical oversight across Core Network domains (e.g., IP/MPLS, Routing & Switching, Core Transport)
Manage Transmission network activities including DWDM, SDH/SONET, Microwave, and Fiber-based transport
Review and validate network designs, LLDs, HLDs, and implementation plans
Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues impacting delivery
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Act as the primary interface between customers, engineering teams, vendors, and operations
Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, and service providers
Manage dependencies across multiple teams and workstreams
Facilitate technical and governance meetings, workshops, and design reviews
Governance & Compliance
Ensure projects comply with network standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements
Manage change control, escalation, and issue resolution processes
Support acceptance testing, handover to operations, and project close-out
Required Skills/Experience:
Technical Skills
Strong experience in Telecom Core Networks (IP/MPLS, Routing & Switching, Core Transport)
Solid understanding of Transmission Networks (DWDM, SDH/SONET, Microwave, Optical Fiber)
Experience working with network design, rollout, migration, and upgrade projects
Familiarity with major OEM platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Huawei, Ciena – as applicable)
Project Management Skills
Proven experience managing large-scale telecom projects
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid)
Excellent planning, risk management, and reporting skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Stakeholder & Communication
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience working in customer-facing roles
Ability to translate technical concepts into business-level communication
Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification (preferred but not mandatory)
8–12+ years of experience in telecom delivery roles (with relevant PM experience).
