About the role
Aussie World is seeking an experienced Sales and Entertainment Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Palmview, Queensland. This part-time role 25 hours across 5 days (Wed-Sun) and INCLUDES WEEKEND work, is designed for someone who is passionate about live entertainment, enjoys leading a creative team and is dedicated in ensuring our guests have an "Unreal, No Worries"customer experience.
What you'll be doing
· Collaborate closely with the Manager/Assistant Manager to ensure seamless operations across the outlets
· Supervising and coordinating the sales and attractions teams to deliver excellent customer experience
· Develop training materials and conduct regular training sessions to improve acting skills, execution of scripts, and overall performance quality
· Overseeing the smooth running of all retail outlets and attractions, addressing any issues that arise
· Monitoring staff performance and providing coaching and mentoring to help the team reach their full potential
· Proactively identifying opportunities and ideas to enhance customer engagement and elevate the experience of our attractions
· Ensuring all health, safety and compliance requirements are met across the attractions and retail areas
· Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and skill development.
· Communicating effectively with the broader management team to share insights and recommendations
What we're looking for
· Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the sales/retail or entertainment/tourism industry (preferable)
· Strong background in live performance, with a passion for acting, directing, and developing talent (impromptu performance)
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
· Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to bring immersive experiences to life
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with guests and staff
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and thrive in high-pressure situations
· Implementing creative/innovative ideas with a proactive approach
· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays/night events
· A passion for creating "Unreal, No Worries" experiences and a commitment to upholding our company values
· Experience in sales role is ideal but not mandatory
