Our client is looking for a
Senior Accountant for an initial 6-month contract,
with the potential to extend for the right candidate. This role will focus on supporting day-to-day accounting activities, allowing the team to concentrate on key project work.
It's ideal for someone who can start immediately or on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including balance sheet and P&L analysis
* Support management reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for stakeholders
* Assist with the annual budget, forecast and planning cycles, including data collection and analysis
* Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and responding to audit queries
* Prepare financial information and reports required by external stakeholders and group reporting teams
* Ensure financial results and reports are prepared in line with group accounting standards and IFRS
* Fixed assets and capital accounting, including capitalisation, disposals, work-in-progress and asset registers
* Prepare and review lease accounting entries in line with current accounting standards
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, projects and improvement initiatives
* Contribute to the continuous improvement and simplification of financial reporting processes
* Support and collaborate with the broader finance team through ad-hoc analysis and knowledge sharing
* Assist with the collation of information for tax reporting, working with internal and external tax specialists
About You
* Multiple years' experience in Financial Accounting or Group Accounting, ideally within a large complex organisation
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting standards
* Confident communicator who can work collaboratively across finance and the wider business
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple deadline
* CA or CPA qualified
* Experience with larger ERP systems
