About The Role
We are seeking committed and enthusiastic Sports Coaches, working under the direction of the Head of Department - Sport and High Performance, and employed on a casual basis. The Glennie School prides itself on having state-of-the-art sports facilities to support its coaches and students in achieving exceptional results.
We Are Hiring Coaches For The Following Sports
* Touch Football
* Rugby 7s
* Rugby League
* Netball
* Volleyball
* Basketball
* Football (soccer)
* Futsal
* Athletics (Throws)
* Cross Country
The coaches will be required to coach students and prepare them for competition. The Glennie School values supporting the Anglican Ethos and expects the successful applicant to adhere to all state and legislative requirements for an independent school.
About You
The successful applicants will have a passion for sport and the ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
* Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in your preferred sport.
* Proven ability to work as a constructive team member in a professional and courteous manner.
* Flexibility in working hours as required.
* Experience in communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and prioritization.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to engage with stakeholders, especially young people and their parents.
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
* Understanding of child safety legal obligations, including mandatory reporting.
* Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card in accordance with the ‘No Card, No Start’ law under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
