Job ID: 2941010 | Amazon Commercial Services Pty LtdWe currently have a vacancy for a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join the Amazon Australia Team. This position is within the Fulfillment Center (FC), reporting to the Regional WHS Manager. The role involves working with the WHS team to uphold high safety standards within our FC. The successful applicant will be trained in standard work procedures and tools used within the WHS function. Candidates should be strong communicators, value teamwork, be proactive about safety, and serve as role models, engaging professionally with the entire FC workforce.Note: This is an hourly role based on rotating shift patterns.Shift options:Front Half - Sunday to Wednesday, day and night shifts.Back Half - Wednesday to Saturday, day and night shifts.Key job responsibilitiesIdentify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through inspections conducted daily, weekly, and monthly.Facilitate incident investigation processes.Maintain documentation to comply with Amazon and local regulations.Enter safety incident information into internal databases promptly.Perform safety observations and audits.Coach others (e.g., Area Managers) to fulfill their safety responsibilities, including audits, safety rule adherence, and inspections.Additional responsibilities may include fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other safety-related activities depending on the business unit and location.Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.Note: This is an hourly role based on shift patterns.Basic QualificationsAt least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or a Cert IV in Safety.Preferred QualificationsAbility to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.Additional InformationIn the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia, respecting their land, sea, and community connections.
