We've partnered with a privately owned Australian property group managing the full lifecycle of their assets - from development and construction through to leasing and day-to-day operations. Their portfolio spans retail, logistics and residential developments across Sydney, and they're entering a significant growth phase. The role: We’re looking for an Operations Assistant to support the shopping centre management team with the day-to-day operations that keep a busy shopping centre running like clockwork. If you love variety in your work, this might be the role for you. This role is different from your typical desk job - no two days here look the same as you’ll be splitting your time between the management office and the centre floor. One moment you’ll be out walking the centre to make sure everything is running smoothly and the next, you’re at your desk processing invoices or coordinating a contractor’s arrival. It’s really the best of both worlds, giving you a unique mix of high-level administration and hands-on facilities coordination. You’ll be working side-by-side with our Centre Manager and Facilities Manager to make sure nothing falls through the cracks and that the centre is always looking its best for our tenants and customers. Note: This role is an on-site role in Western Sydney. What you'll do: Complete daily centre walks to monitor trading, presentation, and safety, while capturing operational issues and tenant requests for follow-up. Act as the first point of contact for tenants and contractors, logging requests and ensuring no site issues fall through the cracks. Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and maintain accurate records for essential business and financial reporting. Coordinate on-site contractors by managing inductions, checking safety documentation, and ensuring works are completed to an "A-Grade" standard. Prepare daily operational reports including foot traffic and sales data, while supporting incident logging and inspection scheduling. What you'll bring: Solid operational coordination experience in fast-paced environments like hospitality, property management, commercial agencies, or facilities roles. Shopping centre experience helps but isn't required. Strong Excel skills and confidence learning new systems independently Clear, professional communication with the ability to build relationships with tenants, contractors and internal teams Strong organisational ability and the capacity to juggle competing priorities without losing accuracy A calm head when pressure hits and a genuine team-first attitude Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Residency working rights Who you are: You genuinely enjoy the mix of desk work and being out on the floor. You like variety, you like solving problems, and you take satisfaction from being the person who follows through and gets things sorted. You take genuine pride in your work and care about keeping the centre running well, not just getting through your task list. You're professional, reliable, and you bring a positive attitude even when the day gets busy. Why you'll love working here: Work on-site at a growing Western Sydney shopping centre, not stuck in a corporate office tower Gain exposure to both administration and facilities coordination, building broader skills and experience than typical admin roles Join a close centre team where your work is noticed and your contribution matters Full training provided on all systems and centre operations Be part of a family-owned business that values initiative, rewards loyalty, and gives you direct access to decision makers Eligible for annual performance bonuses based on individual and business performance Ready to apply? If this sounds like the right next step, we'd love to hear from you. Submit your CV and we'll be in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
