About the role
We are seeking an experienced and organized Assistant Stock Controller to join our team at Major Motors' in Forrestfield, WA. In this full-time role, you will play a critical support function in maintaining accurate stock records and inventory control across our busy automotive dealership.
What you'll be doing
* Assist the Stock Controller in conducting regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy
* Process incoming and outgoing stock, including logging deliveries, movements and disposals
* Maintain clear and up-to-date digital and physical stock records and documentation
* Identify discrepancies in stock levels and work with the team to resolve them efficiently
* Support the preparation of stock reports and data analysis for management
* Contribute to the development and improvement of stock control processes and procedures
* Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, such as sales, service and parts teams
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in an administrative or stock control role, ideally within the automotive or retail industry
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail to maintain accurate stock records
* Excellent organisation and time management skills to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
* Proficient with inventory management systems and MS Office applications
* Customer service-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* A proactive and problem-solving mindset to identify and resolve issues
