Position Purpose
The Perth Regional Delivery Lead – NDT Inspection Services is responsible for the safe, effective, and high‑quality delivery of NDT and inspection services across Perth and regional WA. This role leads the local technician workforce, manages end‑to‑end project delivery, and works closely with the broader operations team to ensure seamless coordination of resources.
A key focus of this role is to foster a performance‑driven culture through strong leadership, conflict resolution, and structured performance management. The role also acts as a central point of contact for key clients in the region, ensuring service excellence, operational alignment, and ongoing contract relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership – plan and deliver inspection scopes from initial client brief to job completion.
* Manage project schedules, technician deployment, and technical resource availability.
* Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards across all activities.
* Collaborate with regional and national teams to address resource shortfalls and delivery constraints.
People Management
* Lead, supervise, and mentor the Perth‑based technical team.
* Conduct onboarding, induction, and workforce planning activities.
* Manage performance through regular check‑ins, reviews, and coaching conversations.
* Promote a positive, safety‑first team culture built on trust, accountability, and mutual respect.
* Address and mediate interpersonal or operational conflicts within the team swiftly and professionally.
* Apply emotional intelligence and active listening to ensure issues are resolved constructively.
* Maintain impartiality and fairness while reinforcing behavioural expectations.
Client Engagement
* Act as the primary operational interface for Perth‑based and regional clients.
* Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and contract stakeholders.
* Ensure all services are delivered to agreed KPIs, commercial terms, and client expectations.
* Lead regular operational reviews and reporting activities.
* Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, technician capability, and service quality.
* Contribute to business improvement initiatives and knowledge‑sharing across regions.
* Support training and certification pathways for local staff in alignment with business needs.
* Strong emotional intelligence and self‑awareness.
* Proactive and fair in conflict resolution and team management.
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Analytical and process‑oriented approach to workforce planning and delivery.
* Coaching mindset with a commitment to technical excellence and staff development.
* Commercial acumen and ability to manage client relationships in line with contract expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in NDT, inspection, or asset integrity services.
* Proven leadership experience in a technical or field operations role.
* Experience in coordinating regional or multi‑site service delivery.
* Working knowledge of HSE, quality, and compliance systems within inspection environments.
Performance Measures
* Delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and cost targets.
* Technician utilisation, performance, and development outcomes.
* Client satisfaction and service quality metrics.
* Compliance with internal systems, safety performance, and team culture indicators.
