Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement electrical and instrumentation designs for various projects, including battery minerals and plant optimisation.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
* 7-10 years of experience as an Engineer in Australia.
* Experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, reviewing and marking up technical drawings and providing construction and commissioning support.
* Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, electrical and instrumentation design specifications, detailed designs and work packs/scopes of work.
* Site experience in investigations, scoping, commissioning and contractor management.
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English with good communication skills for regular client interaction.
* Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
* Expertise in designing and specifying electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas.
* Expertise in functional safety lifecycle documentations specifically the development of LOPA method from the process safety standard.
* Experience conducting early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems including proficiency in electrical system calculations.
* Ability to lead and motivate teams overseeing and coordinating work of junior engineers and designers providing technical guidance and support.
Desirable but not essential qualifications include knowledge and experience working with heavy industry clients in minerals processing, Registered/Chartered Engineer status with RPEQ preferable, knowledge of control systems design, experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy setting, experience with studies and FEED, proficiency in workshop facilitation HAZOP, and project management skills.
