Responsibilities
* Provide personalised support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal care (bathing, grooming, mobility)
* Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding support, and dietary needs
* Support safe transfers, mobility, and movement as required
* Administer medication or support clients with medication routines under approved care plans
* Engage clients in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
* Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and privacy at all times
* Monitor and document client progress, incidents, and behavioural changes
* Follow care plans, risk assessments, and safety procedures
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care coordination team
* Attend team meetings, training sessions, and comply with organisational policies
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability) highly regarded
* Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or related care role preferred
* Understanding of care standards, person-centred approaches, and duty of care principles
* Current Australian work rights and relevant background checks (e.g., Police Check)
* Current working with vulnerable people check or equivalent (State specific)
* First Aid and CPR certification desirable
* Reliable, empathetic, and patient-focused with strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
