D-ICT within Defence is tasked with the effective sustainment, maintenance, and evolution of deployed network capabilities and products, ensuring continuous service improvement and support beyond the reach of the Defence Strategic Networks. As part of this role, they are seeking the services of BAU Software Engineers who have skills in the use and support of Commvault and Linux.
Some of the key tasks will include:
* Delivering engineering structures, Life cycle reports and methodologies, and support compliance activities.
* Designing, specifying, selecting, and developing engineering solutions that consider functionality, back-up and storage security, integration, infrastructure, and performance.
* Designing subsystems and integrating total systems.
* Identifying, analysing, and resolving system and network support deficiencies.
* Collaborating with vendors to assess vendor products, incorporate them into the overall design, and assist in implementation.
* Converting business and technical requirements into integrated technology solutions.
As the ideal candidate you will have the following skills:
* Skills in Commvault usage and support.
* Skills in maintaining Linux compliance
* Skills in resolving incidents and problems within service levels.
* Skills in maintaining Objective filing.
* Capable of maintaining network monitoring compliance.
* A track record of resolving network incidents within service levels.
