The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team during an exciting period of transformation as we transition from Preceda to Workday. Please note that this is a part‑time position for 3 days a week.
In this role you will work closely with a diverse employee base and report directly to the Payroll Manager at our Eveleigh office.
What you'll do
- Manage end‑to‑end payroll processes including employee setup changes terminations and fortnightly payroll runs(Preceda and Workday).
- Review and validate documentation timesheets and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports while maintaining accurate electronic records.
- Respond to payroll queries and provide excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including automation opportunities and adherence to company policies and WHS standards.
What you'll bring
You’re proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative, thriving in a fast‑paced environment have :
- Proven payroll experience ideally within a medium to large organisation.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and strong Excel / data skills.
- Ability to reconcile superannuation payments and interpret awards / EBAs (desirable).
- Excellent time management organisational skills and clear communication.
- Collaborative team player with discretion in handling confidential information.
