Location: Hunter region – Lake Macquarie (Morisset/Toronto)/ Maitland/ Newcastle. Role type: Permanent part-time and casual opportunities available. Pay rate: $33.40–$35 per hour + 25% casual loading. Not-for-profit employer, which may provide tax benefits.
We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to support our aged care clients to live independently at home for as long as possible. Travel around local suburbs and surrounding areas with availability during Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (preferably at least 3 days).
Day To Day This Role Looks Like
* General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning the bathroom & kitchen, changing beds and washing
* Transport to appointments and shopping
* Meal preparation
* Social support or respite for family/carers
* Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
To Be Successful In This Role You'll Need
* A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
* Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
* Good communication skills
* A reliable team player
* Understanding of workplace health and safety
* An Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
* Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
