Cape Byron Distillery, home of Brookie's Gin, Pure Vodka, Sundrift Aperitivo and Cape Byron Whisky, is looking for a driven, commercially minded Sales Executive to own and build South East Queensland.
This is a hands-on, field-first role for someone who knows the QLD market, understands how to grow premium brands properly, and wants real ownership. You'll run the territory like it's your own patch, with strong support behind you and plenty of autonomy on the ground.
This is not a junior role. We're looking for a sales operator who can open doors, build meaningful relationships, and grow distribution and volume without relying on discounting.

About the Role
You will be responsible for building and growing the SEQ territory across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and surrounds, with a balanced focus on on- and off-premise.
Key responsibilities include:
* Owning and growing the SEQ region with full accountability for results
* Driving new business across on-premise, independent retail and key groups
* Building first-pour Brookie's Pure Vodka wins and broader portfolio partnerships
* Growing distribution and velocity for Brookie's Gin and Sundrift Aperitivo
* Managing RTDs as part of day-to-day selling and account programs
* Working closely with wholesaler partners and banner groups to execute growth plans
* Running tastings, trainings, activations and menu placements that drive pull-through
* Managing key accounts while actively prospecting and opening new doors
* Reporting into the national sales team with a strong focus on execution and outcomes
This is a field-first, customer-facing role with clear expectations and accountability.

What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
* 3+ years' liquor sales experience, spirits strongly preferred
* Proven experience selling into the QLD on- and off-premise market
* Existing QLD trade relationships and a strong understanding of how the market works
* Strong new business capability, with the ability to open doors and win accounts
* Commercial confidence around pricing, margin and value, not just discounting
* Comfortable managing wholesalers, banner groups and key customers
* Self-driven, organised and accountable, with no need for hand-holding
Nice to have:
* Experience with premium spirits including gin, vodka, whisky or aperitivo
* Distributor-side experience with strong commercial capability
* Bartending or brand/ambassador background, noting that sales experience comes first
