About the role
Absolute Waste is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Claims & Contracts Administrator to join our commercial and project teams in Yeppoon, Queensland.
As a Claims & Contracts Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing and submitting monthly claims, maintaining contract documentation, and ensuring projects stay compliant and on track. This role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment, can prioritise key tasks, and works collaboratively with others to get the best outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review and submit monthly claims
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project and contract records and documentation
• Assist with variations, extensions of time, and related correspondence
• Monitor compliance and resolve contract or claim issues in a proactive manner
• Work closely with internal staff to achieve best results for clients
• Balance flexibility in daily tasks with strong attention to priorities and deadlines
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and procedures
What You'll Bring
• Experience preparing and submitting claims in a contract or claims administration role within the construction, civil or related industry preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organised records
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
