Position Title: Store person
Reports to: Store Manager
Location: Alice Springs
Full-Time Position– $71,000 per year
Stock Handling
* Receive, check, and store incoming tobacco products and related items.
* Ensure correct stock rotation (FIFO) to maintain product freshness and legal compliance.
* Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory.
* Organize and maintain backroom storage areas for efficiency and safety.
* Unpack deliveries, verify invoices, and report discrepancies.
* packing and weighing tobacco products and sealing boxes
* Checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
* Operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of tobacco and gift items in stock
Store Maintenance
* Keep stock areas and sales floor clean, tidy, and well-organized.
* Dispose of packaging materials and expired or damaged products appropriately.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and tobacco regulations
Sales Support
* Replenish shelves with tobacco products, accessories (lighters, papers, vape products), and merchandise.
* Assist with setting up in-store displays and promotional setups.
* Rotate and face stock to ensure shelves are visually appealing and product are accessible.
* Packing and weighing tobacco products for out-of-town bulk orders
Record Keeping & Compliance
* Maintain stock records (manual or digital) for inventory control.
* Follow legal requirements regarding tobacco handling, storage, and display.
Security
* Report any suspicious activity or inventory discrepancies to management.
* Ensure secure storage of high-value or restricted products.
Qualifications/ Experience
* AQF Cert 2 or 3 or relevant experience as a store person
* Ability to uphold organisational values
* Ability to manager time effectively and multi-tasked where required
* Developed knowledge of tobacco industry preferred
