We are seeking a full time Store person / Purchasing officer to join our busy fabrication workshop in Naval Base for an immediate start.
The position is full time
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect and process incoming stock and materials
· Check deliveries against purchase orders and confirm the goods received match the purchase order and are of expected quality, in undamaged condition, report any discrepancies
· Arrange the return of goods to suppliers for refund or replacement purposes
* Store materials safely and in designated locations
· Allocate store items to projects / Jobs as issued
· Maintain store in a systematic, clean ordered manner
· Ensure company policies and processes are adhered to with respect to the procurement process including but not limited to approval limits and issuing purchase orders to approved contractors and suppliers
* Strick adherence to OHS, Quality and Safety
* Unload / load delivery trucks
* Collaboration with operations manager to maintain seamless workflows
* Other duties as required
About you
* A team player with a friendly positive attitude and a great work ethic
* High attention to detail
* Must be reliable and organised
* Understanding of safe manual handling practices
* Demonstrate a strong focus on safety, adhering to policies at all time
* Show Initiative, be motivated with a can-do attitude
* A current driver’s licence and own transport
* Must have forklift Ticket
* Min 3 years in similar role
