You will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development and teaching of nursing and student nursing education courses/programs at the hospital are well thought out and executed.
Responsibilities
* Plan, develop and deliver nursing education courses and programmes within the hospital
* Coordinate and provide hands‑on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, graduate nurses and students
* Promote a high standard of evidence‑based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge
* Supervise staff compliance with annual mandatory training and completion of eLearning components
* Ensure best‑practice competency‑based programmes are available and assess staff competencies for all operating theatre staff

Located on the bank of the South Pine River, our 70‑bed mental health facility provides comprehensive inpatient and day programmes for the Queensland community. As a leading provider, we specialise in substance‑related and addictive disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders and post‑traumatic stress disorder. We also deliver specialised therapies in EMDR, TMS and ECT.
About you
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
* Certificate IV workplace training and assessment (TAE) or working towards
* Post‑graduate Certificate in related specialty area or working towards
* Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the education of nurses or other relevant professions (preferred)
* Demonstrated experience in an eLearning platform (preferred)
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (preferred)
* Ability to develop and deliver learning presentations for students and other professionals within the hospital
* Ability to motivate others to work with you in developing and professional education plans for the hospital workforce
Requirements
* Current National Police Check
* Proof of immunisation to infectious diseases prior to appointment
