Job Description:
Riedel Communications is a leading provider of live production tools in the media, sports and entertainment sectors. Our company is divided into three business units: Product Division, Managed Technology & Riedel Networks.
We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales engineering team, you will be responsible for collaborating with our sales teams to gather customer requirements and develop tailored system designs and proposals.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing expert consultation to customers, partners, and internal teams on solution design.
* Creating comprehensive technical proposals, system designs, and drawings.
* Managing technical responses for RFP / RFI tenders.
* Oversight of configuration, testing, and validation of Riedel and third-party products at customer sites, tradeshows, and events.
* Supporting the Professional Services team and customers throughout implementation, capturing key insights.
You will also be expected to:
* Deliver technical training for internal teams, customers, and partners.
* Organize product demonstrations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and solution presentations.
* Educate clients and business partners to enhance their technical and sales knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software / Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of combined experience in sales, sales engineering, or pre-sales, with a proven track record in technical sales.
* Demonstrated success in providing technical solutions in a comparable sales role.
* In-depth understanding of the Broadcast and Media technology market.
* Proficiency in development and CRM tools, particularly Salesforce and Atlassian Jira / Confluence.
* Strong knowledge of digital audio technologies and industry standards, including AES3, AES67, ST, NMOS, and PTP.
* Expertise in video technologies such as SDI, ST, NMOS, and PTP.
* Solid understanding of IP networking technologies and protocols, including TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, and PTP.
* Certifications from Cisco or Arista are a plus.
* Familiarity with fibre optic and RF systems is advantageous.
