Senior Property Officer
Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Property Officer to provide expert advice and manage complex property matters across Council's diverse land portfolio.
Job Details
Salary:
$105,927 - $120,707 gross per annum plus 12% Super
Hours:
35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime
Location:
Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road, Nowra
Employment Type:
Permanent / Full-Time

Responsibilities
Deliver specialist advice on property acquisitions, disposals, easements, road closures, Crown land, and leases/licences.
Act as Council's Native Title Manager and provide guidance on related legislative matters.
Lead stakeholder engagement across internal teams, government agencies, and the public.
Mentor and support team members to build internal capability and succession planning.
Represent the Property Services Manager when required and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications
Recognised tertiary qualifications in Property field (Property Valuation, Property Management, Property Law, Conveyancing, or equivalent) and/or equivalent experience and related skills.
Approved training or qualifications to satisfy State Government requirements including Native Title Manager under the Crown Land Management Act **** (or ability to obtain soon after appointment) and ability to complete similar qualifications/training as statutory requirements evolve.
Extensive experience in all aspects of local government property management and property dealings.
Strong practical knowledge of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act, Roads Act, Crown Land Management Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Native Title Legislation.
Class C Driver's Licence.
Proof of right to work in Australia.
