Job Summary
As a Comfort Systems Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
* Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintain applicable log books.
* Conduct walk-through inspections; change belts, filters, adjust volume dampers, check gauges, coils, drain lines, bleed gas lines, reset compressors, check unit sensors, relocate ductwork, and troubleshoot to locate sources and causes of malfunction.
* Assist with estimating parts, supplies, equipment, and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitor computer for malfunctions.
* Maintain quality of air, airflow, and temperature at on- and off-site facilities; adjust valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
* Record gauge readings, repairs completed, and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
* Maintain technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* High School diploma or technical certificate required, along with a minimum of three (3) years' experience with commercial industrial equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
* Florida state EPA HVAC License required.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams, and drawings required.
Work Environment:
The work environment can be hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. You may be exposed to environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public.
