We are currently looking for a skilled and compassionate Full Time Maintenance Officer at our Hedley Sutton Community located in Camberwell, VIC. The role involves close contact with residents of the community and requires good communication, a gentle approach and sensitivity.
This position is responsible for supporting the Site Manager with the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the community’s assets, supervising contractor works and ensuring a secure and secure environment for all stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Assist in keeping the preventative maintenance schedule up to date and respond to any maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure local repairs are attended to promptly, and use of external contractors is reviewed by the Site Manager as required.
- Attend site meetings and any mandatory staff training as directed by the Site Manager.
- Liaise with both internal and external customers (residents, families, contractors and visitors) in a compassionate, helpful manner that reflects Baptcare Mission & Vision.
- Maintain strict privacy and dignity in all dealings with residents and staff.
- Support other facilities in the Gippsland region with maintenance activities from time to time.
About you
- Relevant experience in facility maintenance service delivery.
- Trade certificate or other relevant building/trade qualifications (preferred, but not essential).
- Test & Tag qualification (preferred, but not essential).
- Basic computer skills in Office Word, Excel etc.
- Knowledge of MSDS and WHS.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Current Heavy Vehicle Licence (preferred, but not essential).
