Job Opportunity: Archive Assistant
The ANU Archives seeks a skilled individual to support the processing of a large and complex personal archival collection.
This role involves working under the direction of senior archivists to appraise, arrange, and describe records in accordance with archival standards.
Responsibilities include rehousing materials for preservation, identifying items for future digitisation, and contributing to promotional activities within a small team.
* Relevant archival qualifications or substantial experience working with complex personal archival collections
* Strong skills in appraising, arranging, and describing archival materials using databases like AtoM, with a solid understanding of descriptive standards
* Experience in safely handling and rehousing archival items
* High-level written and verbal communication skills
