About the Role
We're seeking a hands-on, commercially savvy manager to lead our agronomy and merchandise operations.
You'll oversee inventory, supplier relationships, and customer engagement across seed, fertiliser, ag chemicals, and general rural products.
Key Responsibilities
Product leadership: Manage stock and sales across agronomy categories including pasture seed, crop inputs, and soil health.
Supplier negotiation: Build strong relationships with reps and wholesalers to secure competitive pricing and freight.
Customer advice: Provide tailored recommendations on seasonal planting, pest control, and nutrient programs.
Campaign planning: Collaborate on signage, promotions, and branded displays tied to sowing windows and local events.
Team mentoring: Train staff on product knowledge, safety, and customer service.
Inventory control: Oversee ordering, stocktakes, and merchandising for maximum efficiency and engagement.
We're Looking For
Proven experience in rural merchandise or agronomy retail.
Strong knowledge of seed varieties, fertiliser blends, and chemical safety.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
Confidence with POS systems and supplier portals.
Passion for local agriculture and customer connection.
