About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and compassionate clinician to join the Sexual Health Service based at the Tamworth Sexual Health Clinic. This position will be supported locally by the Tamworth team and collaboratively by colleagues from the coordinating service at Pacific Clinic in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high‐quality, person‐centred sexual health care, with a focus on expanding access to HIV education, testing, prevention and Pre‐Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for Medicare‐ineligible people across the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD).

Tamworth Hospital is the principal referral hospital for the northern sector of Hunter New England Local Health District, servicing a population of more than 180,000 people. As a major rural referral facility, the hospital provides a broad range of specialist services including emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, critical care, mental health, rehabilitation and outpatient services.
Located in the vibrant regional centre of Tamworth, the hospital is a teaching facility affiliated with the University of Newcastle and offers the opportunity to work alongside clinicians actively involved in research, education and innovation. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, compassionate and person‐centred care within the Sexual Health Service.
* Provide HIV education, testing and prevention services, including access to PrEP.
* Support initiatives aimed at improving access to sexual health services for Medicare‐ineligible populations across HNELHD.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and Nurse Managers.
* Uphold the Hunter New England Health Values Charter and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
* Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Excellence Framework: Every Patient, Every Time.
* Promote cultural respect and contribute to the goals of HNE Health's Closing the Gap strategy.
