The Role
Abervale Retirement Village, located in Grovedale, is currently seeking an enthusiastic, committed and reliable Cook on a permanent Part time Basis.
Reporting the Head Chef, your duties will include:
You will be trained in and tasked with providing quality food service to our residents and assisting with the day-to-day kitchen operations & events of the village.
Food preparation and cooking according to set menu for the day
Cleaning and upkeep of work station to food safety standards
Work with the Kitchen Assistant to serve meals to residents (approx. 25 servings per day)
Work with Kitchen Assistant to clean up after dining service
Your Background
Experience in a Café or Restaurant food operations.
Have relevant cooking experience or a cert 4 in hospitality or commercial cookery
Be able to multitask and work unsupervised.
Have a strong customer-service focus
Shifts
Permanent Part-Time – 5 days per fortnight
Friday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
Sunday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
Every second Saturday (10:30AM-6:30PM)
Some extra hours may be required occasionally
