ABOUT PRESSPAY

PressPay is an Australian fintech on a mission to help people enhance their financial wellness by delivering innovative solutions designed for pivotal financial moments. We are disrupting the traditional salary payment cycles by providing individuals access to their earned pay as soon as they've worked for it.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Having scaled to a sizeable customer base and a strong revenue run-rate, we are now looking for a hands-on Growth Marketing Manager to own our full acquisition and lifecycle engine.

Responsibilities include planning and executing growth campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize marketing efforts, managing marketing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves performance, experiments and watching the numbers move week by week.

This is a one-person band role. You will plan it, build it, run it and optimise it end to end.

Your Impact

* Build a high performing paid acquisition engine across Meta, Google, TikTok and YouTube that brings in high-intent customers at an efficient CAC
* Fix and optimise the funnel from first impression to active, repaying user
* Turn messy data into simple dashboards that guide decisions
* Design and run a structured test program across channels, creative, messaging and offers
* Shape the PressPay value proposition so it feels simple, human and trustworthy
* Build lifecycle journeys that lift onboarding, activation, repayment behaviour and repeat usage
* Lay the foundations for a repeatable growth engine that PressPay can scale for years

This Role Is For You If You…

* Are a hands-on growth marketer who still enjoys jumping into ad managers, analytics and automation tools
* Have scaled a consumer or B2B2C product and built repeatable, profitable acquisition
* Love performance marketing and analytics but care equally about trust and customer experience
* Are comfortable owning the growth number and making clear trade-offs between volume, CAC and cohort quality
* Thrive in startup chaos and like working directly with founders
* Enjoy both doing and directing since you'll be the entire marketing function at the start

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Performance Marketing

* Own planning, delivery and optimisation of Meta, Google, TikTok and YouTube
* Build channel forecasts, set targets and manage budgets tied to unit economics
* Test and refine audiences, bidding, placements and creative for both scale and quality

Data, Attribution & Reporting

* Set up and maintain clean tracking across web, app and paid channels
* Define core growth KPIs and build simple weekly dashboards
* Make data-led calls on when to scale, pause or stop channels and experiments

Funnel & Conversion Optimisation

* Audit and improve the journey from first touch to sign up, first use and repayment
* Identify friction points and run tests that lift conversion and cohort quality
* Partner with product and design on improvements to landing pages, flows and onboarding

Growth Strategy, Experiments & GTM

* Own the experiment roadmap across channels, creative, messaging and offers
* Run tests with clear hypotheses and success metrics
* Support go-to-market for new features and customer segments

Product Marketing, Creative & Copy

* Write clear, simple, trustworthy messaging for ads, landing pages, CRM and web
* Brief designers/editors with strong hypotheses and performance goals
* Help sharpen PressPay's positioning and value props for workers and employer partners

Lifecycle, Retention & CRM

* Design lifecycle journeys across onboarding, education, nudges and re-engagement
* Build flows inside
HubSpot, or Braze
* Track and improve activation, repayment behaviour and retention

SEO & Content

* Set a pragmatic SEO plan for long-term organic growth
* Work with internal/external writers as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

* Five plus years in growth or performance marketing in consumer or B2B2C businesses.
* Fintech/Financial services experience preferred but not essential
* Deep, hands-on experience in core performance marketing channels.
* Strong analytics and attribution capability, comfortable working with raw data
* Track record improving funnel conversion and cohort quality
* Experience designing and running structured experiments
* Solid product marketing skills: messaging, positioning and competitor understanding
* Experience setting up lifecycle journeys in tools like HubSpot, or Braze
* Strong copywriting skills and a clear, human voice
* Comfort working in a small, fast-moving startup environment

Reporting, Location & Compensation

* Reports to: CEO, PressPay
* Location: Sydney (hybrid / flexible, with regular in-person time)
* Attractive base salary, bonus + super; ESOP available for the right candidate
* Budget for tools, training and external support where it drives growth.
* Dotted line reporting to one of Australia's leading CMOs for coaching and development.
