Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Support Professional trainer. As a passionate advocate for individualized support, you will play a vital role in shaping the skills of support workers in Aged Care and Disability.
* Develop and oversee teaching materials, resources, and equipment that meet industry standards
* Empower students in their transition from campus to community by fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
* Undertake ongoing training to ensure continuous improvement and evolution with your students
* Create a safe and inclusive space for students to learn and grow
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach future and current support workers in Disability & Aged Care settings
* Shape the skills of Support Professionals through effective lesson planning and delivery
* Lead essential lessons and assess student progress to drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
* A minimum of five years experience within the Aged Care, Health or Disability industry; direct support roles, management and coordination highly regarded
* Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Nursing Qualifications
* Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Additional Information:
* A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement
