* One X Temporary full-time opportunity until 31 Jan 2027 with the possibility for extension, 35 hours per week
* Based in Parramatta with flexible working options supported
* Salary ranges from $ 124,322 to $ 138,494 (depending on experience) + superannuation + leave loading

About the role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects within the BOS Digital Transformation Program within DCCEEW IT.

This role requires working collaboratively with stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document business requirements, facilitate discussions, and ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose. You will play a key part in translating business needs into effective project scope and deliverables that support improved services and outcomes.

About You

You are an experienced professional with strong business analysis capabilities and excellent communication skills. You will play a key role in shaping our digital transformation strategy and driving business success through the effective analysis of complex requirements and the delivery of innovative solutions. You will collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement and develop actionable insights to support decision-making. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA and Confluence, along with knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies is essential. Experience with process modelling tools is highly regarded. You are committed to continuous improvement and staying informed on industry best practices to support government priorities and service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Ability to lead collaboration with diverse stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements.
* Expertise driving and documenting comprehensive analysis of current systems and processes to identify and implement improvements.
* Capability to provide strategic solutions for complex and ambiguous situations to facilitate effective decision-making.
* Experience to understand and document data flows, identify noisy data, and promote efficient data usage.
* Proficiency in defining and documenting business processes, workflows, data flows, and system requirements.
* Experience developing and overseeing detailed business and functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Ability to guide technical teams in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
* Expertise in facilitating and leading stakeholder workshops and meetings to gather requirements and drive alignment.
* Competence in monitoring project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks or obstacles.
* Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential requirements

* Tertiary qualifications and relevant professional certification such as quality or project management and/or relevant extensive experience in business analysis, project management and business improvement initiatives.
